About Ryan Breadinc

Ryan Breadinc (he/him) began his writing career in Bunbury, Western Australia, with busted-up notebooks and chicken-scratch handwriting, filling them with tales that no one else would see. His stories now span a wide variety of mediums available everywhere, including comics, prose, games and tabletop roleplaying game systems. His articles have also been published by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association.

The promising young author’s foray into a wider audience began in 2014 as a teenager, with interactive stories for mobile apps both with collaborative groups and on his own. For a time this satisfied him, but the creative urges were strong. As an adult, he took on a career in marketing that bolstered the skills for him to market himself, right as his first short story was approved for publication.

Once several anthologies were under his belt, Ryan turned his attention to comics. He was adept at script writing already, but the collaboration and process intrigued him. Spending time in the industry as a flatter helped him learn the industry and from there he published several pieces with artists like Mike Morrocco and Asya Baruch.

Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition being a beloved hobby, it was perhaps already decided that he would add homebrew to his repertoire, having over 10 bestsellers for his content on the reputable and officially-guided DMsGuild. This led into Ryan publishing his very own tabletop roleplaying system, Bodies for Hire, following a party of zombies with human awareness (available November 2026).

Video games are a relatively new foray, with Ryan publishing his debut game, Card Night, in August 2026. With it came the announcement for more games in the future, including the highly-anticipated visual novel The Brides of Anemone Beach (releasing October 2026).

And no, Ryan Breadinc isn’t his legal name.
